Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the planning and execution of sports events for New Era Creation, a two‑decade‑old sports organization. Based on‑site in Karachi, the role ensures schedules, logistics and resources are coordinated efficiently to deliver high‑quality competitions. The manager also drives continuous improvement of operational processes in line with the organization’s mission of fairness and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of sports events, from scheduling to post‑event reporting.
• Coordinate with coaches, players, officials and venue staff to ensure smooth execution.
• Supervise venue setup, safety compliance and regulatory standards.
• Manage vendor relationships, procure equipment and supplies, and control event budgets.
• Lead, mentor and schedule operations staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Prepare operational reports and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations and large‑scale event management, preferably in sports.
• Strong budgeting, cost‑control and vendor‑management capabilities.
• Demonstrated team leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to develop and enforce processes, policies and safety checklists.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities, able to juggle multiple events.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Operations Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Karachi, including evenings, weekends and holidays as event schedules demand.
• Commitment to fairness, inclusion and support for athletes and officials from diverse backgrounds.
