Packaging Technologist

About the role

We are looking for a Packaging Technologist to support the Health & Hygiene business units at our Pakistan factory. The role will ensure packaging development activities meet functional targets, specifications and quality standards while collaborating closely with procurement, supply, and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support all packaging technical requirements for Health & Hygiene business units.
• Participate in local and regional new product development (NPD), existing product development (EPD) and squeeze projects, managing budgets and deadlines.
• Work with Procurement, Supply and QM/QA to apply supplier selection and qualification processes.
• Collect and analyse internal and external packaging benchmark data to maintain cost‑effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Update, create and publish packaging specifications in the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) system, ensuring all component, palletisation, BOM and test method information is current.
• Ensure appropriate storage and transport test methods are applied and coordinate with QM/QA on quality techniques.
• Support technical implementation of packaging projects at external manufacturers, including line trials, qualification and validation.
• Collaborate with packaging teams in other regions to transfer knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Experience in packaging development within a consumer‑goods or health‑hygiene environment.
• Strong understanding of supplier selection, qualification and packaging specifications.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with procurement, supply chain, quality and manufacturing teams.
• Attention to detail in maintaining up‑to‑date technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel to external manufacturing sites for line trials and validation.
