Planning Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

The Planning Engineer will lead the creation, monitoring and control of schedules for building construction projects at ACE Properties. Working closely with site teams, contractors and procurement, you will ensure that projects progress on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures and schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Define milestones, critical paths and key deliverables for civil, electrical, mechanical and finishing works.
• Establish baselines, update progress regularly and produce reports for management and clients.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly site activities, analyse deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate material, manpower and equipment availability with procurement and site teams.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control and resource forecasting.
• Track subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
• Participate in project review meetings, communicate risks and support quality‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in construction planning, preferably on building or housing projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Proficiency in MS Project.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, BOQs and project specifications.
• Knowledge of cost control, productivity analysis and progress reporting.
