About the role
The draftsman prepares plumbing and public health drawings (water supply, drainage, sewerage and fire-fighting layouts) from engineers' designs and markups. The work is based on AutoCAD drawings and takes place in Karachi or at the project site.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and revise plumbing and public health drawings in AutoCAD, including layouts, schematics, risers and details
- Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings
- Coordinate plumbing layouts with architectural and structural drawings
- Maintain drawing registers and revision control
- Respond to drawing queries from engineers and site staff
Required profile
- Diploma in Plumbing / Public Health / Civil Technology (DAE) or equivalent
- 2-5 years of plumbing or public health drafting experience, preferably in a consultancy
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Revit MEP is a plus
- Understanding of plumbing symbols, pipe sizing basics and drawing standards
