Procurement Assistant

About the role

Cosmo Pharma International (Pvt.) Ltd, a Karachi‑based pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturer, is looking for a Procurement Assistant. The role supports timely and cost‑effective sourcing of raw materials, packaging components and operational supplies while ensuring accurate documentation and strong supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in vendor sourcing, preparation of purchase requisitions, purchase orders and supplier documentation.
• Collect and compare quotations, prepare price comparison sheets and support commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, warehouse, finance and regulatory teams to confirm requirements and delivery schedules.
• Track orders, follow up on lead times and help resolve discrepancies in quantity, quality or documentation.
• Maintain organized procurement files, supplier records, stock‑related information and purchasing reports.
• Support vendor evaluation and ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and GMP requirements.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of procurement processes, purchase orders, quotations and supplier coordination.
• Ability to prepare price comparisons, maintain vendor records and track deliveries accurately.
• Strong follow‑up, negotiation support, organization and time‑management skills.
• Attention to specifications, quantities, quality documents and GMP‑related procedures.
• Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (advantageous).
