Production Manager – Steel Manufacturing

About the role

BBJ Pipes Industries Pvt. Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead its steel pipe manufacturing plant in Lahore. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring high‑quality output, and maintaining strict compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute production plans that meet target volumes and delivery schedules.
• Oversee daily plant operations, optimizing raw material, labor, and equipment utilization.
• Lead a workforce of approximately 100 employees, fostering a safety‑first culture.
• Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure adherence to API and ISO standards.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
• Monitor health, safety, and environmental regulations across all departments.
• Analyze production KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and drive lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Manage inventory control to balance raw‑material usage and holding costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering on process upgrades and new technology adoption.
• Prepare regular performance reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10‑15 years of experience in steel manufacturing or heavy‑industrial operations.
• Proven track record in production management, preventive maintenance, and quality control.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
