Program Director - Construction

About the role

BrightSpyre, a recruitment partner of JHK Group of Companies, is hiring a Program Director for construction in Islamabad. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and covers the strategic oversight, coordination and execution of a portfolio of construction projects under a unified program, ensuring they stay within scope, time and budget while meeting quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the construction program strategy and set up governance frameworks, project controls and reporting structures
• Monitor and manage the execution of multiple projects across different locations, integrating plans, schedules, budgets and risk mitigation
• Guide project managers through project setup, execution and closure
• Act as central contact for clients, regulators, consultants and contractors, manage escalations and present updates to executive leadership and the board
• Track progress against KPIs, build dashboards and reports, and run periodic audits
• Enforce design standards, quality benchmarks, safety guidelines and legal regulations, and oversee HSE policies and permits
• Lead and mentor a team of technical and program managers, engineers and support staff

Required profile

• BSc/BE in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; Master's degree (MBA or MSc in Construction/Project Management) preferred
• 25+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, including at least 15 years in a program or portfolio management leadership role
• Strong leadership, planning and organizational abilities, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills
