Project Manager / Team Leader

About the role

The Project Manager/Team Leader will oversee complex, multi‑disciplinary projects focused on water security, livelihoods and infrastructure across urban, peri‑urban and rural settings. You will guide analytical and advisory assignments, turning findings into actionable IWRM frameworks and implementation‑ready interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi‑sectoral teams to deliver integrated water security projects.
• Develop assessment reports, frameworks and practical intervention designs.
• Translate analytical results into concrete recommendations, including IWRM and SDG‑6 aligned models.
• Engage with government authorities, communities, private sector partners and development agencies.
• Adapt international best practices to local or sub‑national contexts, drawing on comparative analyses.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience managing complex water‑related projects.
• Proven track record in leading analytical and advisory assignments.
• Strong ability to convert research into practical, actionable solutions.
• Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement across public, private and community sectors.
• Familiarity with international water sector frameworks such as GWP IWRM and SDG‑6.
• Experience with at least one international or comparative water‑security study.
• Experience in Sindh or similar climate‑vulnerable rural contexts is desirable.
