Relationship Manager – SME Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – SME Banking is responsible for driving sales and managing the working‑capital portfolio of small and medium‑enterprise clients. The role combines business development, credit risk assessment, and high‑level customer service to support the bank’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets set by the Team Leader.
• Identify and acquire new SME customers in line with the bank’s strategy.
• Visit existing SME clients to deepen relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
• Ensure strict compliance with account opening procedures, KYC, and AML requirements.
• Conduct thorough credit risk assessments and prepare comprehensive business credit applications.
• Manage the SME credit portfolio, maintaining zero expired facilities.
• Monitor client fund movements and intervene when criteria are not met.
• Prepare and submit regular sales and credit reports to management.
• Coordinate closely with client‑management and operations teams to deliver prompt service.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate/commercial banking with strong knowledge of trade and working‑capital products.
• Solid understanding of credit risk assessment and business credit application processes for SMEs.
• Excellent customer‑service and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to monitor and manage SME fund movements effectively.
• Proficiency in compliance, KYC and AML guidelines.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with internal teams.
