Reservoir Engineer – Production Optimization

About the role

We are seeking a Reservoir Engineer to manage daily production data, evaluate reserves, and support optimization of hydrocarbon recovery across our operated and non‑operated assets. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate forecasting and effective reservoir management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze the daily production database for all fields, providing recommendations to improve recovery.
• Perform reserve evaluations for exploration and development leases using volumetric and static measurements.
• Conduct material balance calculations and support well timing and compression decisions.
• Develop production profiles for investment proposals, development plans, and budgeting.
• Apply decline‑curve analysis for reserves booking and forecasting.
• Run and support reservoir simulation studies using ECLIPSE.
• Identify favorable hydrocarbon zones for perforation using open‑hole and cased‑hole logs.
• Design and interpret pressure‑transient tests, including draw‑down and build‑up analyses.
• Perform PVT and nodal analysis for both operated and non‑operated wells.
• Prepare production budgets, forecasts, short‑ and long‑term plans, and variance analyses.
• Witness onsite data acquisitions such as DST, PSP/PLT, BHP surveys, and surface well testing.
• Support management in presentations, farm‑in evaluations, and technical committee meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5–7 years of experience in reservoir management within the upstream oil and gas sector.
• Proven multidisciplinary experience covering reserves evaluation, reservoir modelling, well testing, and production forecasting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach across departments.
