SAP FICO Consultant

About the role

Abacus Consulting is looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to join its Finance & Controlling team. The role involves implementing, configuring and supporting SAP FICO solutions for clients in Lahore and Islamabad, ensuring that financial processes are aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business processes and requirements related to controlling and management accounting.
• Configure and implement SAP FICO sub‑modules such as GL, AP, AR, AA, Banks, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing and COPA.
• Integrate SAP FICO with other SAP modules (PM, MM, SD, PP) and support cross‑module scenarios.
• Develop and maintain custom reports using SAP Report Painter and write functional specifications for RICEFW objects.
• Provide support for month‑end and year‑end closing, cost allocations and reporting.
• Conduct system testing, user training, documentation and participate in upgrades or migrations.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands‑on SAP FICO configuration and implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP FI / CO (FICO) configuration.
• Experience with SAP Report Painter.
• Familiarity with SAP Public Cloud (a plus).
• Understanding of integration points with SAP PM, MM, SD and PP.
• SAP FI or CO certification (preferred).
