Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance

About the role

Seed and Seed Processing is hiring a Senior Accountant in Lahore to manage financial records and ensure the accuracy of accounting data. The role covers financial reporting, ledger accounting, tax compliance and the use of accounting software, and involves close coordination with other departments without team management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, process journal entries and reconcile ledgers
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, aging analysis and subledger management
• Perform bank reconciliations and carry out month-end and year-end close, including trial balances, accruals and financial statements
• Use QuickBooks and Fast Accounts ERP to record transactions and manage digital sales invoices linked to tax authorities
• Prepare and submit sales tax, withholding tax and income tax returns through portals such as FBR IRIS, and coordinate with tax consultants on annual filings
• Maintain manual cash books and enter data accurately, using Excel for reporting and analysis
• Support internal and external audits and provide financial information to management

Required profile

• Minimum of five years of experience in accounting, finance and taxation, ideally in agribusiness or a related industrial field
• Solid foundation in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing
• Experience preparing and submitting sales tax and withholding tax returns
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
