Senior Accountant – GAAP & Financial Reporting (Night Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead GAAP and IFRS financial reporting on a night‑shift schedule. The successful candidate will own month‑end close, prepare statutory statements and support audit and tax activities for a global client.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Conduct financial, variance and ratio analysis.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Review general ledger accounts, journal entries and manage account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and provisions.
• Supervise accounts receivable and payable functions.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Prepare audit working papers and support tax return preparation.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge.
• Experience preparing and analysing financial statements.
• Background in audit, taxation or corporate accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience leading and training junior staff.
