Senior Accountant - GAAP

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our global client’s finance team on a night‑shift schedule. The role will own the preparation of GAAP/IFRS‑compliant financial statements, manage month‑end close, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Conduct financial, variance, and ratio analysis.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes.
• Review and analyze general ledger accounts and journal entries.
• Manage account reconciliations, including bank, balance‑sheet, and subsidiary ledgers.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Assist in tax return preparation and filing.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Review work performed by staff accountants and recommend process improvements.
• Participate in budget preparation and forecasting activities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, local tax laws, and accounting principles.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Background in audit, taxation, or corporate accounting (preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Team management and training capabilities.
