Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the preparation and analysis of our financial statements, ensuring compliance with international and local accounting standards. The role involves close collaboration with the finance team to deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Key responsibilities

• Recognize revenue in accordance with IFRS 15 and internal policies, and produce detailed monthly revenue reports.
• Review costs and invoices, ensuring prepaid costs and accruals are correctly posted each month.
• Manage lease accounting under IFRS 16, maintaining up‑to‑date lease schedules.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Upload and reconcile local statutory accounts (Italian GAAP) to management accounts (IFRS).
• Update bank transactions weekly, monitoring cash surplus or deficit.
• Oversee fixed‑asset additions, disposals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accounts‑receivable aging reports and assist with doubtful‑account provisions.
• Support the preparation of internal monthly financial statements for reporting cycles.
• Reconcile AP and AR sub‑ledgers to the general ledger.
• Handle intercompany cross‑charges, monthly intercompany reconciliations, and FX revaluation journal entries.
• Provide assistance during internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16 and Italian GAAP.
• Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and month‑end close processes.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
