Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our high‑volume retail team in Lahore. The role focuses on both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, leveraging NetSuite and an AP automation platform to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting transactions accurately and promptly.
• Conduct account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Support vendor and customer account management, responding to inquiries and resolving account‑related problems.
• Utilize NetSuite for transaction entry, reconciliations, reporting, and other routine accounting tasks.
• Use Tipalti or a similar AP automation tool for invoice processing, approvals, vendor management, and payment workflows.
• Monitor outstanding payables and receivables, following up on overdue items as needed.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities and maintain up‑to‑date accounting records.
• Identify and propose process improvements, leveraging AI and technology tools to increase efficiency.
• Handle additional accounting workload during peak periods, escalating issues only when necessary.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a retail setting.
• Hands‑on experience with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable beyond basic data entry.
• Proven ability to perform account reconciliations, vendor management, and customer account management.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Previous experience working for a Canadian‑based corporation is required.
