Senior Accountant (Sage Intacct) – Construction Finance

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant to own the general ledger, intercompany transactions, and multi‑entity consolidation for a US‑based construction business. The role will also support the migration from QuickBooks Online to Sage Intacct and help strengthen accounting processes as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the month‑end close checklist, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids and account reconciliations.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, dimensions, job and cost code structures within Sage Intacct.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition and WIP schedules for active contracts.
• Record, reconcile and settle intercompany transactions across multiple entities and support multi‑entity consolidation, including eliminations and currency translation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis and management reporting packs; coordinate with external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; part‑qualified or qualified ACCA, CPA, CA or ICMA preferred.
• Minimum 4 years progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior/general‑ledger role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Sage Intacct, especially General Ledger, multi‑entity and consolidation modules.
• Experience in construction or contracting accounting, including job costing, WIP and percentage‑of‑completion methods.
