Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the AWS‑based commerce platform that powers major restaurant brands. You will ensure the platform remains fast, reliable, secure and scalable across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate core AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM) for high availability and multi‑region resilience.
• Containerise workloads with Docker and run them on ECS/EKS, maintaining clean and secure images.
• Own CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, integrating SonarQube quality and security gates.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (and optionally CDK) and automate provisioning, scaling and backups with Bash and Python scripts.
• Maintain observability (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs) and on‑call rotation, proactively identifying cost, capacity and reliability risks.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on DevOps, cloud or SRE experience, deep in AWS core services.
• Proactive, team‑oriented mindset with a habit of documenting runbooks and sharing knowledge.
• Security‑first attitude, ensuring secure code, pipelines and infrastructure.

Required skills

• AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM).
• Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• GitHub Actions CI/CD with SonarQube integration.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (and optionally CDK).
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
