Senior Manager Engineering

About the role

CCL Pharmaceuticals is hiring a Senior Manager Engineering to lead engineering, utilities and facility operations at its Sundar manufacturing site in Pakistan. The role ensures safe, reliable and GMP-compliant infrastructure that supports uninterrupted production and consistent product quality. It reports to the Associate Director Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment and utility qualification, validation and change control in line with EU GMP and cGMP requirements.
• Lead engineering projects, manage budgets and technical resources, and strengthen team capabilities.
• Drive risk-based problem-solving and continuous improvement to improve efficiency, safety and manufacturing performance.
• Manage contractors and technical partners, and work with Production, Quality, HSE, site leadership and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering, MS or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institute.
• 6-8 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects, budgets, contractors and technical teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cGMP, EU GMP, Good Engineering Practices (GEP), equipment and utility qualification, validation and change control.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, utilities management and facility operations in a regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement and risk-based root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation, technical training and regulatory audit requirements.
