Senior Manager – SQA Release

About the role

The Bank of Punjab is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Release activities within its IT group. This position is based in Lahore and offers the chance to work on critical banking applications and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day management of Configuration Items (CIs) and maintain environment baselines.
• Execute and oversee version‑control tasks in Azure Repos, ensuring proper branching and merging.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for DBA and Application teams for Flexcube package extraction and environment refreshes.
• Maintain the project archive, keeping records audit‑ready.
• Configure and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated deployments.
• Perform application deployments to Test, Staging, and Production environments under manager guidance.
• Identify build‑process bottlenecks and recommend automation improvements.
• Oversee log and configuration data organization for internal and external audit cycles.
• Guide junior team members on release tasks and prepare daily status reports highlighting successes or blockers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an HEC‑recognized university.
• 7–9 years of relevant experience in banking or non‑banking environments.
• Maximum age of 55 years as of the application deadline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
