Site Engineer – Local Area Development

About the role

SMEC is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to lead local area development works on a hydropower project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The role involves supervising on‑site construction, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards, and coordinating with project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all on‑site construction activities related to local area development.
• Ensure work complies with design specifications, technical drawings, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to achieve timely execution.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce regulations.
• Prepare progress reports, site logs, and required documentation.
• Address technical issues promptly and provide on‑site solutions.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (B.Sc/BE).
• 6–8 years of experience supervising construction projects, preferably in hydropower or local area development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
