Solution Architect - Enterprise Distributed Systems

About the role

Raqami Bank is looking for an experienced Solution Architect within its Information Technology department. The architect designs, develops and guides the implementation of scalable, secure, resilient and high-performance enterprise solutions, turning business requirements into robust technical architectures that meet enterprise standards for scalability, availability, maintainability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise initiatives, developing blueprints, integration strategies, standards and documented decisions.
• Design distributed systems and microservices for high transaction volumes, and guide Redis-based distributed caching (invalidation, TTL, consistency, cache-aside or write-through).
• Define event-driven architectures with Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalents, and reliable inter-service communication, fault tolerance and distributed transactions (Saga, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Outbox, Idempotency, Circuit Breaker, Retry, Bulkhead).
• Resolve data consistency, concurrency, duplicate processing and race condition issues, and define HA, load balancing, scaling and disaster recovery strategies.
• Design secure APIs and integrations across internal services, external systems, third parties and legacy apps, and set architecture guidelines, coding standards and non-functional requirements.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, validate decisions with prototypes and testing, and work with product owners, engineering, DevOps, security and infrastructure teams.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field from an HEC-recognized university; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, system design and enterprise solution architecture, with hands-on delivery of production-grade distributed solutions and technical leadership.

Required skills

• Microservices, modular monoliths, layered/clean architecture, SOLID, DDD and architectural trade-offs.
• Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalents; Redis or equivalent; relational and NoSQL databases.
• REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, blue-green and canary deployments.
• Leadership: leading design reviews, mentoring engineers and communicating architectural decisions.
