Specialist, Demand Planning

About the role

As a Demand Planning Specialist at foodpanda, you will be responsible for creating accurate replenishment plans and ensuring optimal inventory levels across distribution centers and stores. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to support the company’s fast‑paced food delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Create weekly replenishment plans on a supplier level based on inventory parameters, actual sell‑out, and forecast.
• Participate in S&OP forecast meetings and calculate supply plans from demand forecasts.
• Maintain healthy inventory in DCs and stores, monitoring supplier issues and escalating when needed.
• Identify slow‑moving SKUs and flag them for action; work with inventory controllers to balance stock across warehouses.
• Own the category group, ensuring ordering and availability align with overall S&OP goals.
• Support cross‑functional projects, drive actions, and resolve issues as they arise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Economics or related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in demand or supply planning, preferably in FMCG, grocery retail or e‑commerce.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a demanding, ambiguous environment.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset.
