Systems Engineer - Microsoft 365 & Azure

About the role

This Systems Engineer position covers the administration of virtualization, server and cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure. The role includes managing on-premises, hybrid and cloud servers, providing technical support and maintaining the data network.

Key responsibilities

• Administer VMware ESXi, vCenter, backups and snapshots, and manage Windows Server services such as DHCP, DNS, IIS, FTP and SFTP across on-premises, hybrid and Azure servers.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 applications and user administration, and provide engineering and administrative support for M365 services, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Exchange Online, Entra, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform and Intune.
• Identify and resolve system and server vulnerabilities, manage patches, backups and security operations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and support data network services, including VLANs.
• Migrate email from on-premises or hosted Exchange to Exchange Online within O365, and implement conditional access, tenant policies and mobile device management.
• Manage the Microsoft Azure environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of experience in Microsoft 365, on-premises, hybrid architecture, design and implementation.
• At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including designing and implementing cloud solutions with Entra, Azure App Service and similar services.
• Expert knowledge of Azure, Active Directory, Domain Controller, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive and Power Platform.
• Experience with data backups and virtualization solutions.
• English is required; a BS or MS in Computer Science or Information Technology and a Microsoft Certified Engineer certification are listed.
