Tax Analyst

About the role

The Tax Analyst will join Contour’s Global Centre and report to the Director of US Tax. The role focuses on U.S. tax compliance and accounting for the company’s US operations, ensuring accurate filings and timely communication with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. Federal and State corporate income tax returns and related working papers.
• Prepare extensions, instalment calculations and coordinate payments to tax authorities.
• Complete required U.S. tax compliance forms for foreign entities (Forms 5471, 5472, 1120F) and calculate GILTI and FDII.
• Prepare quarterly and annual US income tax provisions under IFRS, including account reconciliations.
• Correspond with U.S. tax authorities and respond to tax notices.
• Assist internal teams with tax requests and perform ad‑hoc research and analytics.
• Support Purchase Price Allocations and draft Forms 8594 and 8883.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant tax‑related experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with U.S. income tax software (OneSource).
• Strong data analysis abilities and intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, basic charts/formulas).
