Team Lead – Accounting & Finance

About the role

ebs.ae, a chartered accountancy and outsourced financial services firm, is looking for a proactive Team Lead to manage its accounting function in Lahore. You will oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and a team of accounting professionals while ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP.
• Generate management reports and dashboards to support decision‑making.
• Record journal entries, adjustments and accruals using Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally ERP, Odoo or similar platforms.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance and fixed‑asset registers.
• Handle month‑end and year‑end closing procedures efficiently.
• Prepare and file VAT returns on time and stay updated on UAE tax regulations.
• Perform bank and inter‑account reconciliations and monitor internal controls.
• Lead, train and mentor a team of accountants, allocate tasks and provide performance feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CA Finalist / CA Inter / ACCA part‑qualified preferred.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in an accounting firm or corporate finance department.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (and other Office applications).
• Working knowledge of Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally ERP, Odoo, Xero.
• Understanding of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations.
