Team Lead / Assistant Manager – Medical Billing

About the role

The Team Lead – Medical Billing oversees daily billing operations, leads a team of billing professionals, and ensures timely claim submissions, collections, and compliance with healthcare billing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a medical billing team to meet productivity, quality, collections, and revenue targets.
• Monitor claim submissions, denials, AR follow‑up, collections and reimbursement activities.
• Analyze reimbursement trends, aging AR, and billing issues to drive revenue optimization.
• Collaborate with providers and front‑office teams to resolve upstream billing issues.
• Develop and present operational reports, KPIs, and performance analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of RCM/Medical Billing experience.
• At least 2 years of direct team‑lead or people‑management experience.
• Proven experience managing a team of 7–8 resources.
• Strong stakeholder and project management skills.

• Proficiency in medical billing systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
