Team Leader, Risk Management and Modeling

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to head the Risk System and Modeling team within the Information Security Division of a leading bank. The role focuses on developing, validating, and maintaining credit risk models that comply with regulatory standards and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop PD, LGD, EAD, and CCF models using statistical methodologies in line with SBP and IFRS 9 guidelines.
• Create credit risk rating models and behavioral scorecards for various business segments.
• Assist the Head of IRM in recalibrating macro‑economic regression models and implementing end‑to‑end IFRS 9 ECL engine solutions.
• Validate model assumptions, perform back‑testing, benchmarking, and continuous improvement analyses.
• Maintain and update policies and procedures related to internal credit risk rating frameworks and IFRS 9.
• Provide supervision and development support for the Loan Origination System (LOS).

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an HEC‑recognized university; Master’s preferred.
• 7‑9 years of banking or non‑banking experience, with at least 4 years in risk modeling.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team of professionals.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (SBP, IFRS 9).
