Team Leader – SME (Banking)

About the role

The Bank of Punjab is seeking an experienced Team Leader for its Small Medium Enterprises (SME) division in Karachi. The role focuses on driving business growth, managing credit portfolios, and ensuring high‑quality customer service across SME, commercial and corporate segments.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve all assigned hub/team business targets and ensure balanced growth across SME, commercial and corporate financing, including SBP‑backed schemes.
• Onboard new‑to‑bank customers, establish new relationships and deepen existing ones.
• Identify business opportunities, structure proposals, negotiate terms and arrange appropriate security.
• Provide financial advice and solutions to both existing and prospective clients.
• Cross‑sell deposit, RFD/ACD products, cash‑management mandates and other banking services.
• Maintain a clean credit portfolio by preventing fresh NPLs and reducing existing NPLs.
• Visit customers regularly to ensure timely recovery of installments, charges and achieve at least 90% collection in the first 30 days of each quarter.
• Ensure compliance with the Bank’s operational procedures and State Bank of Pakistan regulations, including proper customer screening and credit discipline.
• Prepare and process credit proposals, conduct financial analysis and credit risk assessments, and meet defined turnaround times.

Required profile

• Experienced, dedicated and performance‑driven banking professional.
• Strong relationship‑management skills with a focus on SME and corporate clients.
• Good knowledge of SBP schemes, credit policies and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to conduct financial analysis, credit risk assessment and manage a credit portfolio.
