Technical SEO Manager - React/Next.js (Remote, Full-Time)

About the role

A substantial, fast-growing UK organisation is recruiting a Technical SEO Manager to work full-time and remotely, recruited through Smart Working. The role blends 60% SEO with 40% hands-on React/Next.js development: you will drive organic growth while independently coding, optimising and publishing website pages, and will also manage content marketing, analytics and multiple websites, using AI tools to automate workflows. Healthcare/YMYL experience is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall SEO strategy, own technical SEO and fix issues affecting organic visibility.
• Conduct keyword research, search-intent analysis and competitor research, and improve rankings, traffic and leads.
• Run an SEO-focused content strategy, find content gaps and improve existing content.
• Manage and improve the Google Business Profile and local search visibility where relevant.
• Monitor Google rankings, Google Search Console, GA4 and other SEO KPIs, and ensure tracking is set up correctly via GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
• Build reporting and dashboards, and use AI tools to automate SEO and marketing tasks.
• Manage tracking, A/B testing and email automation; build WhatsApp and web agents.
• Promote YouTube content as part of the role.
• Implement website changes directly in the codebase, create and update pages, components and layouts, and publish updates quickly, including same-day updates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in content marketing and SEO content strategy, and 5+ years driving Google Search and organic ranking growth.
• 5+ years with GA4 and GTM, and 5+ years in keyword research and competitor analysis.
• 2+ years with React and Next.js, and 5+ years of overall experience at senior level.
• YouTube content promotion experience is essential.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible, creative problem-solving approach.
