Telecommunications Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join a global leader in the telecom industry on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced communication networks for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimise VoIP, SIP and PSTN networks.
• Integrate telecommunications solutions with existing IT infrastructure in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor network performance, diagnose issues and resolve incidents to ensure high availability.
• Configure and manage telecommunications hardware such as routers, switches and gateways.
• Document network configurations, policies and procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network problems and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non‑technical teams.

Required skills

• VoIP, SIP and PSTN protocols.
• Network architecture, routing and switching.
• Telecommunications hardware (routers, switches, gateways).
• Network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
