Treasurer – Head of Treasury

About the role

Mobilink Bank is seeking a senior Treasury leader to oversee its balance‑sheet, liquidity, foreign‑exchange and investment activities. Reporting to the CEO, the Treasurer will drive treasury strategy, ensure regulatory compliance and deliver P&L performance for a digital full‑service bank.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the bank’s overall liquidity position, maintain statutory liquidity and cash reserve requirements, and diversify funding sources including digital deposits and wholesale funding.
• Oversee real‑time cash and funds positioning across PKR and foreign currency books, ensuring 24/7 settlement liquidity for instant digital transactions.
• Act as Secretary/Member of ALCO, prepare gap analysis, duration and repricing reports, and manage interest‑rate risk using hedging instruments.
• Develop and monitor Funds Transfer Pricing framework in coordination with Finance.
• Manage the investment portfolio (T‑Bills, PIBs, Sukuk, corporate bonds, equities) within board‑approved limits, optimizing yield while maintaining credit quality and capital efficiency.
• Supervise the FX desk, controlling spot, forward and swap positions within Net Open Position limits, and manage Nostro accounts and correspondent banking relationships.
• Oversee money‑market activities, including inter‑bank lending/borrowing, repo operations, and intraday collateral management.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading treasury functions in a bank or financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of State Bank of Pakistan prudential regulations, Basel III LCR/NSFR requirements, and regulatory limits.
• Experience as a member of an Asset‑Liability Committee (ALCO) with ability to prepare analytical packs and manage interest‑rate risk.
• Strong understanding of liquidity management, funding diversification, and crisis liquidity response.
• Expertise in managing investment portfolios, foreign‑exchange desks, and money‑market operations.
