Treasury Specialist

About the role

METRO, which operates 10 wholesale centers across Pakistan after merging its wholesale business with Makro-Habib in 2012, is hiring a Treasury Specialist. The role covers day-to-day treasury operations, accounting and financial record keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day treasury operations, accounting and financial record keeping
• Manage trade and non-trade payments
• Reconcile bank accounts and payments
• Coordinate updates to bank accounts, BR and authorized signatories
• Handle treasury accounting postings such as bank charges, final settlements and fund transfers
• Handle foreign currency remittances and payments
• Reconcile and book markup and interest
• Manage petty cash and utility bill reimbursements
• Manage bank guarantees, including issuance, renewal and release
• Support internal and external audits and other treasury-related operations

Required profile

• B.Com, MBA, ICMA or ACCA from a reputable university
• 3 years or more of relevant experience in treasury, finance or accounting

• SAP / ERP and MS Office Suite
• Treasury management system (optional)
