Unit Head – DBG Strategy and Business Planning (AVP/VP)

About the role

The Unit Head – DBG Strategy and Business Planning will lead the formulation and execution of the Digital Banking (DBG) strategy, aligning it with the bank’s digital vision. This senior role reports to the Wing Head of DBG Strategy and Business Planning and is based in Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the DBG strategy, ensuring alignment with the bank’s digital priorities.
• Drive data‑driven business plans using analytics, AI, and market insights to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior management to define KPIs and create performance dashboards.
• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives with technology, product, and operations teams.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and fintech developments to assess opportunities and threats.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in banking, fintech, or related financial institutions, with at least 3 years in digital banking strategy or transformation.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and work with senior leadership.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Data analytics and AI application for business strategy.
• Financial and business modelling.
• Business intelligence (BI) tools for KPI tracking and dashboard creation.
• Strategic frameworks such as SWOT, Balanced Scorecard, and OKRs.
