Wing Head – Portfolio Management & SBP Coordination (VP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a senior professional to lead its Portfolio Management and SBP Coordination wing. This VP‑level position is based in Karachi and reports to the Group Chief of Special Assets Management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor and ensure compliance with SBP regulations for the Special Assets Management Group.
• Prepare and present responses to SBP inspection observations.
• Monitor wing performance and maintain the Statement of Classified Advances (SCA) data.
• Manage MIS reporting, including POCA, OLP, legal and other portfolio metrics.
• Oversee the total portfolio, budgets, P&L and recovery positions of the group.
• Coordinate with SBP, Financial Control Group and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of banking/financial experience, with 4 years in a managerial role in recovery, risk, portfolio or SBP coordination.
• Experience in special assets management and branch operations is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Good analytical skills with knowledge of Power BI tools.
