Unit Head External Audit (AGP) - AVP

About the role

National Bank of Pakistan, described as "The Nation's Bank", is hiring a Unit Head External Audit (AGP) AVP based in Karachi. The role reports to the Wing Head Audits & Board Committees and involves coordinating external audit and AGP matters with HR divisions, preparing committee decks and managing audit reports. The employment is on a contractual basis for three years, renewable at the management's discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Review and ensure submission of pre- and post-AGP and external audit information received from HR divisions
• Arrange and coordinate meetings of the AGP and External Audit teams with HR officials, including introductory and exit meetings
• Disseminate AGP and external audit observations to HR divisions and follow up on corrective action plans (CAP)
• Prepare meeting decks for the Departmental Accounts Committee (DAC) and Public Accounts Committee meetings
• Manage MIS and audit reports and scanned data related to AGP and external audit
• Perform other assignments assigned by supervisors

Required profile

• Minimum graduation or equivalent from a university or college recognised by the HEC of Pakistan; a master's degree or HR professional certification preferred
• At least 6 years of experience in HR operations and/or audit coordination and/or regulatory framework, preferably in banking or financial services
• Strong communication skills, effective teamwork, and adherence to confidentiality, data protection and record-retention standards

Required skills

• Knowledge of MS Office applications
