Wash Technician

About the role

Kontoor Brands is seeking a Wash Technician to provide onsite technical support to garment vendors and laundries. The role focuses on ensuring first wash load (FWL) and shade‑band approvals are performed correctly, helping vendors meet the company’s quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Kontoor sourcing team to deliver technical know‑how to laundry vendors.
• Educate vendors on standard operating procedures, approval submission, and onsite approvals (Shade Band / FWL).
• Maintain a library of standards (V‑Codes, targets) and keep approved submission records.
• Support new vendor (laundry) technical evaluations and monitor ongoing performance.
• Conduct inline inspections and process audits for wet and dry operations.
• Lead projects assigned by management and ensure timely completion.
• Train vendors on fabric complaint procedures and verify quality issues.
• Monitor vendor equipment maintenance, including light‑box and spectrophotometer calibration.

Required profile

• Proven technical experience in garment wet and dry processing.
• Ability to give clear technical advice, troubleshoot, and communicate effectively with factories.
• Strong understanding of production systems, compliance parameters, and fabric characteristics.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
