International Voice & IP Core Operations Engineer

About the role

Join PTCL Group as an International Switching Engineer, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and assurance of International Voice (LDI) and IP Core infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, security, and service continuity for voice gateway systems and datacom/network elements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain International Voice/LDI network operations, traffic, and quality metrics (ASR, ACD, PDD).
• Troubleshoot SIP, SS7, SIGTRAN, ISUP, and VoIP issues, handling call failures, one‑way audio, DTMF, CLI, and signaling problems.
• Coordinate with international carriers, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution and configuration changes.
• Prepare incident reports, root‑cause analyses, and operational dashboards.
• Operate and maintain datacom/IP infrastructure, including firewalls, data‑center gateway routers, spine switches, and TOR/EOR switches.
• Ensure high availability and performance of the IP core network, monitor routing and switching, and manage security policies and firewall rules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Telecom Core, LDI operations, or IP Datacom/Network Operations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• SIP, SS7, SIGTRAN, ISUP, VoIP.
• TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPsec, VLANs, routing & switching.
• Firewalls, routers, data‑center switching architecture.
• Knowledge of SBC, MGW, Soft‑switch, IMS (optional).
• Network trace analysis and troubleshooting.
