Accountant

About the role

Lahore Trading is looking for an Accountant to support accurate day-to-day financial operations. The role maintains reliable accounting records, helps monitor cash flow and provides timely financial information for sound business decisions. It is an on-site position in Lahore.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank activity and general ledger entries.
• Prepare regular financial statements, account schedules and management reports accurately and on time.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing, journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Track invoices, payments, expenses and outstanding balances, and follow up on discrepancies with relevant teams.
• Support budgeting, cash-flow monitoring and audit or tax documentation as required.
• Maintain organized financial files and ensure records follow company procedures and local requirements.

Required profile

• Practical experience with bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance and routine accounting workflows.
• Ability to reconcile bank, vendor, customer and control accounts and investigate variances.
• Understanding of month-end closing and supporting records for audits and tax reporting.
• Strong numerical accuracy, organization, confidentiality and deadline management.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies.

Required skills

• Competence in preparing financial statements, account schedules and management reports.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software, including accurate data entry and record keeping.

What we offer

• Monthly pay of PKR 50,000 to 90,000.
• Transport benefit.
