Accountant (Night Shift)

About the role

Umerco, an official IBM partner serving US customers, is hiring a detail-oriented Accountant for its finance team at the Valencia Town office in Lahore. This is a full-time, on-site position working night shift hours (6:00 PM to 3:00 AM PKT) to align with US operations. The sales and delivery teams currently handle billing, payment follow-up, incentives and tax questions themselves, so this hire centralises those tasks and puts proper books and records behind them.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable and receivable
• Create customer invoices from signed orders and POs, match them to quotes and parts, and check sales tax before issuing
• Follow up on customer accounts payable, chase late payments and close out inbound payments
• Reconcile distributor quotes (e.g. TD SYNNEX) against customer POs, check margin per line and track pay-per-use, overage and renewal billing
• Track IBM and partner incentives (estimated, pending and received) and compare amounts received against amounts billed
• Keep deal and payment trackers (Smartsheet) accurate: ordered, invoiced and paid
• Record and maintain accurate ledger and journal entries, and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and petty cash control
• Prepare and process invoices, vendor and contractor payments, timesheets, payroll and expense reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing, prepare financial statements and monthly margin and expense reports, and review subscriptions and recurring costs
• Handle tax filings, company registration and renewals, and business insurance renewals
• Maintain organised financial records in accounting software, ready for audit, and ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience; experience with US-based companies or clients is a plus
• Nice to have: experience in an IT reseller or channel-partner business, IBM or distributor billing, US sales tax, vendor incentive or rebate tracking, and multi-entity books
• Excellent written and verbal English, strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisation
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and handle confidential payroll and financial information responsibly
• Willing and able to work night shift hours (6:00 PM - 3:00 AM PKT)

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or similar
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting and taxation and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in MS Excel and tracker tools such as Smartsheet
• Ability to reconcile quotes, purchase orders and invoices line by line
