Customer Integration Data Transformation Specialist

About the role

NIQ, a GfK company and the world's leading consumer intelligence firm, is hiring a Customer Integration Data Transformation Specialist in Karachi. The role supports the deployment of new and updated services within the Customer Integration function of NIQ Brandbank, managing standard and custom data feeds, creating custom Excel extracts and integrating with GS1 data platforms so that data flows efficiently to internal teams, stakeholders, customers and the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke integrations, including client-specific and GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network) ones, and support data mapping, testing and deployment.
• Manage inbound and outbound projects, meeting milestones and collaborating with project managers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nielsen Brandbank and local GDSN data models and capture rules, and build data transformation logic.
• Work with consultants and developers to create and test patches and changes, and identify test scenarios and test data.
• Ensure data quality throughout the transformation process to the NBB Product Library, GDSN Connector and retailer sites, and implement quality control measures.
• Advise suppliers and retailers on data integration and transformation best practices.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, clients and internal teams, in English and the local language.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in complex data transformation and mapping.
• Ability to consult suppliers and retailers on data integration and transformation.
• Willingness to work out of hours and travel domestically or internationally, in line with UK working hours.

Required skills

• Managing and configuring standard and custom data feeds, including Excel extracts.
• Familiarity with GS1 and GDSN standards.
• Building data transformation logic and testing, with knowledge of XML, JSON, CSV and Excel.
• Strong data quality assurance and quality control.
