Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

QueryTel Inc., a managed IT services and technology solutions provider serving businesses mainly in North America since 1995, is hiring a Desktop Support Engineer based in Karachi. The role supports end users across the North American client base and requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on desktop support experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory. Candidates must be comfortable working rotational shifts to match North American business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1 and L2 desktop support for Windows desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and application issues.
• Manage users, devices and access in Azure Active Directory to support Office 365 and standard enterprise applications.
• Handle support tickets, document issues and resolutions, and escalate complex problems when required.
• Ensure timely and effective user support during assigned shifts.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a Desktop Support or IT Support role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS, basic networking and IT support best practices.
• Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
