About the role

The Field Security Coordination Officer (FSCO) supports the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in delivering security leadership, operational support and oversight of the United Nations Security Management System (UNSMS) worldwide. UNDSS is a global leader in security risk‑management principles, enabling the safe and effective delivery of United Nations programmes in complex and challenging environments while maximizing resources. Based in Islamabad, Pakistan, the position contributes to the UN mission of promoting peace, security, human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Chief Security Adviser (CSA).
• Operate from a “B” hardship and family duty station in Islamabad.
