Firebase Specialist (Remote Contractor)

About the role

SME Careers, an AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, is hiring an hourly, remote Firebase Specialist. You will create realistic, challenging computer-based tasks using Firebase and related app-development workflows, document them in SuperAnnotate, prepare your setup and record yourself executing each task. The work trains advanced AI models to understand how real users complete backend-as-a-service and app infrastructure workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Create realistic and challenging Firebase tasks, then document them clearly in SuperAnnotate.
• Prepare your setup: Firebase access, test projects, sample data, local project files, permissions and any required references.
• Record yourself executing the task, following project instructions and keeping the workflow clear, complete, realistic and safe.
• Provide enough context, steps, goals, project details, files and notes so reviewers understand the task.
• Demonstrate practical use of Firebase Console, Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Storage, Hosting, security rules, deployments and troubleshooting.
• Review recordings and documentation before submission to ensure they meet project guidelines.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience with Firebase for app setup, authentication, databases, storage, hosting, security rules, deployment or troubleshooting.
• B2-level English or higher to follow instructions, document tasks and communicate with the team.
• Comfortable with browsers, developer tools, terminals and recording workflows.
• Ability to design realistic Firebase tasks reflecting real web, mobile, backend, admin, data or app-development use cases.
• High attention to detail and reliability, able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
