Import Documentation Executive

About the role

The Import Documentation Executive manages import documentation, Bill of Lading (B/L) processing, shipping instructions, carrier coordination, billing and invoicing, and customer service. The role ensures timely and accurate submission of shipping documents, compliance with State Bank of Pakistan Foreign Exchange Circulars, resolution of rating and billing discrepancies, and coordination with customers, carriers, overseas agents and upcountry offices. The position is based in Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Import documentation and Bill of Lading management
• Import billing, rating and invoicing
• Reporting and record management
• Customer service and communication
• Resolution of rating and billing discrepancies
• Coordination with customers, carriers, overseas agents and upcountry offices

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field
• Good networking with freight forwarders in the market
• Knowledge of local and international customs, ocean and hazardous cargo regulations
• Ability to set priorities, work independently and learn quickly

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Accountability and teamwork
