Inventory Control Manager

About the role

The Inventory Control Manager leads inventory integrity, governance and loss prevention across foodpanda's QCommerce network in Pakistan. The role ensures that physical stock, inventory systems and financial records are accurate and reconciled, with effective controls across every stage of inventory movement. It works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance, and translates regional standards into consistent local execution.

Key responsibilities

• Set and enforce inventory policies, SOPs and approval controls across owned and 3PL facilities, and ensure accurate recording of movements in WMS, ERP and financial records
• Lead sub-ledger-to-General Ledger reconciliations with Finance and maintain audit trails for adjustments and write-offs
• Own the country stocktake and cycle count programme, reconcile dispatch and receipt quantities, and monitor reserved stock and sales buffers
• Oversee supplier returns and 3PL stock records, and act as escalation point for inventory disputes
• Analyse shrinkage, expiry and damage by site and SKU, investigate unknown losses and verify FEFO compliance
• Identify near-expiry, slow-moving and zero-moving stock and coordinate clearance, returns and transfers
• Monitor inventory SLAs, validate 3PL records and drive consistent controls across receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, returns and disposal
• Define inventory requirements for system enhancements, govern master data and improve reporting and exception detection
• Lead cross-functional reviews, provide reporting to the Country GM and build team capability through training and coaching

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance or a related discipline
• At least five years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or supply chain auditing in retail, FMCG, e-commerce or darkstore environments
• Proven ability to improve inventory accuracy, reduce unexplained losses and resolve recurring process gaps

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of stock reconciliation, financial inventory controls, stocktakes and 3PL governance
• Hands-on experience with WMS/ERP platforms such as SAP, and analytical tools such as Looker, BigQuery or equivalent
• Strong analytical, investigation and stakeholder-management skills
