Officer Information Technology (Contractual) - Karachi

About the role

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is hiring one Officer Information Technology for its Karachi head office on a contractual basis. The post covers day-to-day desktop support and IT helpdesk operations, with a deadline of 1 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop support across the institute so that computer systems, workstations and related IT equipment run smoothly.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues and resolve them quickly to minimise disruption to daily operations.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, operating systems, software applications, printers and other IT equipment as required.
• Respond to IT issues and service requests, give technical assistance to employees and keep proper records.
• Help set up workstations for new employees, ensure proper system configuration and comply with institutional IT policies, procedures and security guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field from an HEC-recognised university or institute.
• Relevant hands-on experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk operations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
• Hardware troubleshooting and basic networking.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.
