Quantity Surveyor – Electrical Projects

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Quantity Surveyor specialized in electrical works to join its Karachi team. You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and updating Bills of Quantities (BOQ) while ensuring accurate pricing, specifications and quantities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and update BOQs for electrical and communication systems.
• Monitor project costs, validate contractor and supplier invoices, and support cost‑control measures.
• Assist in developing cost plans, budgets and periodic cost reports, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and site teams to ensure alignment on quantities and specifications.
• Participate in tender evaluations, value engineering studies and commercial negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost planning, cost management and cost reporting for electrical projects.
• Hands‑on experience with quantity take‑offs, estimating and tender documentation.
• Familiarity with electrical construction standards, codes and best practices.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
