Relationship Manager - Impaired Portfolio Management (North) AVP

About the role

National Bank of Pakistan is hiring, through its client, a Relationship Manager for the Impaired Portfolio Management Wing (North) in Lahore. The post reports to the Wing Head of Impaired Portfolio Management - North and sits within the bank's Special Assets Management function. It is a contractual position of three years, renewable at the management's discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Help develop and implement the strategy for remediating the bank's non-performing portfolio
• Prepare proposals for out-of-court settlements, rehabilitation, restructuring and rescheduling for approval
• Analyze the portfolio for write-off and waiver cases and process them for approval
• Implement approved rescheduling and restructuring in line with bank policy and State Bank of Pakistan regulations
• Review tagged accounts financially to identify risks and opportunities for credit decisions
• Review accounts legally with the Legal and Credit Administration Divisions and prepare action plans
• Maintain call plans and logs with the relevant heads to keep an auditable trail
• Prepare MIS reports on the assigned portfolio and ensure compliance with external prudential regulations and internal credit policies

Required profile

• Minimum graduation or equivalent from a university or college recognized by the HEC of Pakistan; a master's degree or relevant professional certification is preferred
• At least 6 years of banking experience, including 3 years managing or dealing with recovery portfolios
• Sound knowledge of retail and SAM portfolios, awareness of SBP Prudential Regulations, and proficiency in MS Office
