Senior AI Engineer

About the role

eZhire is hiring a Senior AI Engineer in Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, on a full-time basis. The role leads the design, development and deployment of AI solutions that power both customer-facing products and internal engineering operations, at the intersection of agentic AI, autonomous software engineering and enterprise AI platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade AI applications using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Develop autonomous AI agents with planning, reasoning, memory, tool calling and multi-agent orchestration.
• Build AI-driven SDLC workflows that automate business analysis, specifications, development, testing, deployment and operational support.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise knowledge bases and vector databases.
• Integrate AI systems with Git, CI/CD pipelines, project management tools, enterprise applications and third-party services.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps and Operations teams, and research emerging AI technologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python.
• Strong experience building production AI/LLM applications.
• Experience building RAG architectures with vector databases.
• Nice to have: experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI evaluation and observability tools, enterprise AI copilots or platforms, and mobility, transportation or rental technology.

Required skills

• Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex or similar.
• RAG with vector databases such as FAISS, Chroma, Pinecone, Weaviate or Milvus.
• OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, prompt engineering, structured outputs and tool/function calling.
• FastAPI, Django REST Framework or Flask.
• Git, Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and MLOps practices.
